It is reported that in recent years, the meteorological department has focused on building a deep-sea meteorological navigation technology system based on Fengyun meteorological satellites, ocean surface observations, CMA global numerical forecasting, supported by global intelligent grid forecasting, and integrating multiple disciplines such as oceanography, navigation, and computer science. It focuses on ship intelligent navigation, navigation risk assessment, ship stall algorithm and other technologies, and has constructed a new generation of deep-sea meteorological navigation system. As of now, the navigation system has served nearly 8000 ships and over 60 shipping companies, with an average route optimization rate of 30%.
At present, the full chain ocean meteorological navigation service system of "one platform, one ship, one website" of the Meteorological Navigation Center has been launched. The service mode of "shore navigation+ship navigation" can meet the autonomous navigation needs of ship users, and also provide fleet navigation, meteorological navigation service monitoring and other information for shipping and freight enterprises. In the future, the Meteorological Navigation Center will further strengthen its ability to provide ocean meteorological forecasting services and establish China's offshore meteorological navigation business system.
